Threshold alerts based on your hive history, your climate zone, and the model's reading. Oxalic, formic, or hops — the calendar suggests when, not what.
The whole app caches locally. Inspect a hive in a forest, sync when you're back. Pro keeps unlimited offline history.

Yes — any phone made in the last five years with a camera. Just open beefamily.net, sign in, hit Scan, and upload (or take) a brood-frame photo. The app caches locally for offline use; results sync when you're back in signal.
Every result shows a confidence score. Below 80% you'll see a flag suggesting a sugar-shake or alcohol-wash to confirm. You can also correct the count in-app — those corrections train the next model release. The detector is calibrated against ~10,000 labelled brood-frame photos; current accuracy on benchmark frames is ~95% within ±3 mites.
Starter exports CSV. Pro exports CSV, JSON, and PDF seasonal reports — same data, your choice of format. Free plan keeps 30 days of inspection history; Starter keeps 6 months; Pro keeps everything indefinitely.
Paid trials require a card up front. Stripe saves the payment method, the trial runs for 14 days, and we email a reminder on day 12 before the first charge. Free remains no-card.
EU servers (Supabase, eu-north-1, Sweden). GDPR by default — we don't share data with third parties, and you can export or delete everything from the privacy page at any time.
HiveLog AI is photo-and-log first; we don't yet read directly from BroodMinder / Flow Hive sensor APIs. You can import CSVs from either platform on Pro and overlay them with your inspections. Native sensor integrations are on the roadmap — see /developers/api for the current API.
You drop back to the Free plan automatically at the end of the billing period. Your historical inspections stay visible (newest 30 days on Free) and your account is otherwise unchanged. You can re-subscribe anytime with one click from /subscription. Full account deletion is available on the privacy page.
Hobby and sideline beekeepers with 1–50 hives who want AI assistance with varroa monitoring and inspection logging. Commercial operations with hundreds of hives are welcome too, though our Pro tier caps make most sense up to about 50 colonies — beyond that, email us about a custom plan.
